Expanding Our Colours Through Emulation - Livestream with Jacob Warren

For this stream 2023 International Society of Bassists Solo Competition winner Jacob Warren will be joined by long time collaborator Grant Flick to inspire participants to explore colors and textures both within and beyond standard double bass technique.

Warren & Flick have released two albums of original music (with a third releasing in 2025) showcasing a diversity of genre influences. These influences have manifested not only in their compositional style, but also in the sounds and instruments used. For this presentation, Warren & Flick will perform pieces from their original repertoire, and Jacob will expand on the ideas and techniques contained within.

It's recommended that participants have their basses on hand to explore along with Jacob the techniques and textures that make Warren & Flick's music so captivating!
