Winter is coming - take care of your bass!

With winter having swept in to the northern hemisphere, the topic at the front of many bassists' minds is how can I make sure my instrument does not suffer through the drop in temperature and humidity?

There are many preventative measures we can take to be good stewards of our instruments - from careful control of humidity, to changing sound posts, to raising the strings to stop rattle and buzz. Please share some strategies you use, or good advice you've been given here!

And remember - should the worst happen, and your instrument suffers some damage from climate changes, always consult your luthier.
